Planning your wedding music should be just as exciting as planning the rest of your day! To help make things easier, I’ve put together a list of frequently asked questions about my services. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to reach out – I’m always happy to chat.
How far in advance should we book you?
As early as possible — I often book 12–18 months in advance, especially for summer dates.
Can we request specific songs for the setlist?
Absolutely! I typically learn 2–3 special songs for each couple, especially for key wedding ceremony moments like your processional or first dance. I’ll also avoid any songs you don’t want to hear. With your guidance and my experience, we’ll shape the setlist together.
Do you take requests during the event?
I don’t usually take song requests on the day itself, as I craft the perfect atmosphere in advance. But if you have requests ahead of time — especially meaningful ceremony songs or dance moments — I’ll make them part of your personalised performance.
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes. I bring a high-quality, compact sound setup that suits venues with or without sound restrictions. Everything is PAT tested and insured.
How long will it take to set up?
About 30–60 minutes. I arrive at least 90 minutes early to allow plenty of time for setup, soundcheck, and a stress-free start.
How long are your sets?
My standard is 2 x 45-minute sets with a short break, or I can perform up to 90 minutes straight. We can tailor this to your timeline.
What if the venue has sound restrictions?
Many wedding venues in Hertfordshire have sound limitations. I use a Bose system that provides full, rich sound at lower volumes, perfect for settings where a full band or DJ might be too loud.
Do you use strobe or stage lighting?
No strobe lighting — I keep things intimate and simple. My style is focused on live acoustic music, not flashing lights.
Do you travel beyond Hertfordshire?
Yes! While I’m based in Hertfordshire, I regularly travel across the UK. Travel fees apply beyond 100 miles.
Can we see you play or watch a video before we book you?
Yes. I perform at public events (check my events page), and you can also watch videos on YouTube and Instagram.
